Los Cabos, Baja California Sur, August 6, 2016.- Abierto Mexicano de Tenis Mifel´s main draw ceremony took place in Sheraton´s Parroquia salon. Spaniard Marcel Granollers was present in the event as a representative of all the ATP players and was surprised by the draw´s result in which he will be playing against his fellow countryman Fernando Verdasco. Grupo Pegaso´s CEO, Renata Burillo, tournament director, Geoffrey Fernández, ATP representative, Fernando Sánchez and Baja California Sur Secretary of Tourism, Gerardo Ruiz, were all present at the draw ceremony.
“It was a long trip from Spain, I will have to get use to the heat in order to play good tennis. It will be a tough match and I will have to play my very best tennis in order to win,” said the 30 year old player from Madrid.
Mexicans Tigre Hank and Lucas Gómez will be playing against American Austin Krajicek and Spaniard Guillermo García-López, respectively.
First four seeded players of the tournament: Feliciano López, Bernard Tomic, Ivo Karlovic and Sam Querrey will be having bye for the first round of the tournament.
Geoffrey Fernández expects to have the same success as Acapulco has had for the past 23 years.

On Monday at 5 pm, local time, first round matches will start in the Delmar International School courts. Los Cabos Open will bring together 28 players ranked amongst the top 75 in the world
